The Security and Software Engineering Research Center (S2ERC) is a part of the Office of the SVP and is housed in the Georgetown University Department of Computer Science.
Our offices and meeting rooms are in St. Mary’s Hall, 3700 Reservoir Rd. NW, Washington DC 20007. A GPS will get you there; if you want to get there quickly, plug in the Georgetown University Hospital, 3800 Reservoir Rd. NW. Georgetown’s pretty interface to Google maps, with pictures of the building, is here. To get to Healy Hall room 200, plug in Georgetown University, 3700 O St. NW. Healy Hall is the first building straight ahead inside the Front Gates.
There is usually street parking on Reservoir Rd. The south side, closer to St. Mary’s Hall has four hour parking at $2.00 per hour, using meters and Park Mobile. Most meters on Reservoir Rd. take credit cards. Do not park on the south side of Reservoir Rd. before 9:30am. The north side directly across from St. Mary’s Hall has free two-hour parking. Do not part on the north side between 4:00pm - 6:30pm. 38th St. has four hour parking on the west side and free two hour parking on the east side. R St. between 37th and 38th also has free two-hour parking. Better yet, 36th St. between Reservoir Rd. and R St. as well as R St. between 37th and 36th have free parking from 8am - 6:30pm.
Do note the DC DMV is ruthless. If they register your car when you park, you will undoubtedly get a ticket 121 minutes later if you don’t move your car.
There is a parking deck (click for map) on the south side of campus. The entrance is just to the west of the Key Bridge on Canal Rd. The street address for GPS or Google Maps use is 3611 Canal Road, NW, Washington, DC 20057. Parking is $20 per day or $3/hr, prepaid cash only. Parking information is here. There is parking at the Leavey Center / Georgetown University Hospital for $25/day, no minimum, but in-and-out priviliges if you are staying at the Conference Center Hotel. The Leavey Center garage accepts credit cards as well as cash.
There is little to no public transportation to Georgetown. However, Georgetown does operate its own shuttle bus, with service from Dupont Circle (Red Line) and Rosslyn (Blue and Orange Lines) Metro Stations. See Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) for more information, maps, and timetables.
